Well, I did it! I finished the damn faux-brick wall! When I started it, I was 8 months pregnant and too big and tired to do anything other than sit and watch TV or stand in one spot and paint "the wall". At the time I really felt like I was doing something useful and productive. I have been working on this headache for 6 months now.. the thing is.. the space is not that big! But when you're painting one brick a day, it becomes a little monotonous, and no longer productive. So I focused and buckled down yesterday. Completing the project around 9pm! I feel great now that it's done! Time to start another painting endevour. Today I want to start refinishing some old furniture.. ? .. I can't stop starting projects! I'm a mad woman! Take a look at what I did...

So I am new with this blogging stuff... bare with me please! I'll figure it out... So I am in the middle of several different projects at home. I recently had a baby boy, who is just amazing! I adore him and love being a new mom. Every day is something new. We also just moved into a new "old" home, that needs lots of work. So between having a new born, transforming an old home and taking care of the house; my plate is full! I started painting this brick wall that's in my dining room. The previous owners, who happen to be my in-laws (we'll get into that later), put up a plaster brick wall. What?! I know. To make it worse, it is white and grey. Now, I like the idea of a brick wall in my house. Adds character. But not a plastered white one. I've taken it upon myself to hand paint each brick to make them look more authentic. At first it was fun, now it's a pain in my ass. I just need to finish. I've decided today is the day. My chores are already done and there is March madness basketball on all day. Which means I can plop my husband and son on the couch to watch the madness unravel, while I finish my undone project. Normally I wouldn't condone being a couch potato, but it's snowy and cold out.. and I HAVE to complete what I set out to do. I will be sure to post a before and after picture of "the wall"! When the paint has dried I have a boat load of pictures and recipes to post for you all to enjoy. One thing at a time though..
